Pie Minister is known to serve one of the best pies in UK. They actually supply pie to Waitrose on a contract basis. They also dominate the pie business at market places around the United Kingdom. Pie Minister stalls can be found at Borough Market and Covent Garden's Market. Well, I was fortunate enough to go to their source in Bristol, where they were founded.

We settled for a pie each, some mash and mushy peas to go with it.

Pie with Mash and Mushy Peas

I've never thought of mushy peas as nice since I last had it at The Magnificent Fish and Chips. However, the peas here were darn bloody good. I could have polished off a pot.

Heidi Pie

For a vegetarian pie, I must say it was nicely done. It contained sweet potatoes, goat cheese, red onions and spinach. Somehow, the pie came together rather well. I was actually rather delighted I chose this pie.

Metador Pie

The Metador Pie was more of a typical beef pie. It definitely was good pie. Personally I would prefer more meat in my pie, but most people like a balanced pie. More meat would probably incur a higher cost as well I presume.

Chicken of Aragon Pie

The chicken pie was a nice alternative for people who don't take beef. Personally, I would take a beef pie over chicken any day. This pie didn't disappoint though.

All in all, pie minister serves good pie at a slightly above average price. I guess 4quids a pie isn't that bad though. I wouldn't mind eating their pie again when I'm next in London.
